In 2025, artificial intelligence is no longer just a buzzword—it’s a tool millions of people interact with daily, from boardrooms to bedrooms. To better understand how AI is shaping both business and personal life, AI World Media Group conducted a wide-reaching survey titled “AI & You: How the World Is Using AI Today.”

The results offer valuable insights into how people are embracing AI, what tools they’re using, and what hopes—or concerns—they hold for the future.

 Who We Asked

The AI World survey targeted a diverse group of users across industries and age groups, with a mix of entrepreneurs, professionals, creatives, students, and everyday consumers. From seasoned AI adopters to curious newcomers, the goal was simple: find out how AI is making a real-world impact.

AI in the Business World

One of the strongest trends revealed in the survey was the surge in business adoption of AI tools. Over 70% of respondents reported using AI for at least one business-related task, with top use cases including:

  • Content creation (emails, blogs, marketing copy)

  • Customer service automation (chatbots, support agents)

  • Market research and data analysis

  • Product development assistance

  • Workflow automation and team productivity

Interestingly, a large percentage of small business owners and solopreneurs stated that AI “leveled the playing field”, helping them compete with larger organizations without needing massive teams or budgets.

However, concerns still remain. When asked what their biggest hesitation was, respondents pointed to data privacy, accuracy, and ethical risks as top issues. Others worried that over-reliance on AI could reduce critical thinking or creativity in their teams.

AI in Personal Life

AI is also making inroads into people’s homes and habits. Among those using AI personally, the most common applications included:

  • Writing assistance (resumes, emails, social posts)

  • Creative arts (music, poetry, visual design using tools like DALL·E and Midjourney)

  • Learning and tutoring

  • Time management and goal setting

  • Entertainment and exploration (chatbots, virtual agents)

More than 60% said AI had made their daily life “easier or more efficient,” especially in tasks like organizing schedules, summarizing complex topics, or brainstorming ideas.

When asked, “Would you trust an AI to give you life advice?” the answers were mixed—some intrigued, others cautious, but most agreed: AI is here to assist, not replace human judgment.

AI Is Becoming Human-Centric

The biggest takeaway from the AI World survey? AI is becoming less about machines—and more about people.

As one respondent put it:

“AI helps me be more of myself. It doesn’t replace me—it extends me.”

Whether for writing, learning, building, or solving, AI is no longer science fiction—it’s everyday life. But to make it truly transformative, we must continue asking the right questions, setting the right boundaries, and empowering the right people.

And that starts with understanding how we use AI today.
